At our core, weâre curious cats. We love design, we love technology, and crave new experiences.
Who We Are
Nomad Chique is a boutique visual design and user experience company. What the heck does that mean? It means weâre small, weâre specialists, and weâre focused on making sure that the products you set out to create feel good, look good, and work effectively for your customers. We do this by designing user interfaces and graphics for software, apps, websites, and branded materials that support technology products.
At our core, weâre curious cats, we love art & design, and crave new experiences. We are inspired by ordinary things that make extraordinary differences in the world around us.

Karen Fojas Lee
Principal User Experience & Visual Designer
Karen has worked as a designer for over 10 years and has worked in a range of industries from software to hospitality. She’s an Ohio girl who loves what she does because she gets to spend her time helping people make their dreams come true through her craft. AND she gets to draw whenever she wants to. She has a soft spot for startups and women entrepreneurs because it’s inspiring to see how their businesses sprout and then bloom. As a user experience designer, she’s fascinated with how people think and why they do the things they do.
Who knew? When she was younger, Karen aspired to work backstage in Hollywood as a prop or set designer for sci-fi or historical period movies. She loved the idea of physically creating worlds from the past and future, and actually feeling like you were there. Guess that’s her inner trekkie! If she had all the time in the world and no worries, Karen would become a true nomad and spend a few years living and doing volunteer work on each continent. Or, she’d go to culinary school and explore the world through food.
ONLINE MARKETING GURU
Ciao has worked in Online Marketing for over 8 years and recently added an MBA to her sash. She loves what she does because it’s relevant in this day and age, and it’s fast! You can test an idea quickly and go on to the next “big” idea without spending a ton of money. As a marketer, she’s fascinated with how people are able to build and grow something out of so little. She feels lucky to be alive in an era where there has been so much technological advancement from aerospace to agriculture.
Who knew? Ciao has a thing for snowman mugs. She loves collecting them because even though they’re not very user friendly (come on snowman mug makers!), they’re super cute. If she had all the time in the world and no worries, she would go see the world, meet new people, and write about them. She would also dedicate her life to helping solve world problems that affect children because they will lead the future.
